             abstract = "Resum. Este trabalho promove o reconhecimento de morfoestruturas 
                         relacionadas com deforma{\c{c}}{\~a}o tect{\^o}nica na 
                         por{\c{c}}{\~a}o central da Bacia Para{\'{\i}}ba e de 
                         {\'a}reas do embasamento cristalino adjacente, e expressas na 
                         topologia das redes de drenagem e dos lineamentos 
                         morfoestruturais. Para tanto, foram utilizados dados referentes 
                         {\`a} rede de drenagem presente em cartas topogr{\'a}ficas em 
                         escala 1:100 000 e dados de sensoriamento remoto ativo baseados no 
                         modelo digital de eleva{\c{c}}{\~a}o - SRTM. A an{\'a}lise foi 
                         baseada na densidade e direcionamento de lineamentos 
                         morfoestruturais, al{\'e}m dos padr{\~o}es e anomalias de 
                         drenagem. Os resultados indicam grande ocorr{\^e}ncia de 
                         padr{\~o}es de drenagem indicativos de controle tect{\^o}nico, 
                         destacando-se o padr{\~a}o treli{\c{c}}a e suas 
                         varia{\c{c}}{\~o}es. Adicionalmente, existe uma abund{\^a}ncia 
                         de anomalias sugestivas de drenagem com controle tect{\^o}nico, 
                         incluindo principalmente trechos retil{\'{\i}}neos, 
                         jun{\c{c}}{\~o}es em {\^a}ngulos retos e meandros localizados, 
                         alem de mudan{\c{c}}as bruscas de padr{\~o}es. Portanto, 
                         conclui-se que a por{\c{c}}{\~a}o central da Bacia 
                         Para{\'{\i}}ba cont{\'e}m fortes ind{\'{\i}}cios de 
                         deforma{\c{c}}{\~a}o tect{\^o}nica impressos no relevo. Os 
                         lineamentos morfoestruturais apresentaram densidades e 
                         disposi{\c{c}}{\~o}es distintas ao longo da {\'a}rea de estudo, 
                         revelando maior controle tect{\^o}nico no extremo dos setores 
                         oeste e leste. Estas deforma{\c{c}}{\~o}es s{\~a}o de natureza 
                         r{\'u}ptil e d{\'u}ctil, estando associadas com a 
                         reativa{\c{c}}{\~a}o de estruturas precambrianas, embora 
                         n{\~a}o se descarte a possibilidade de gera{\c{c}}{\~a}o de 
                         novas estruturas relacionadas com a evolu{\c{c}}{\~a}o 
                         estrutural da bacia. A atividade tect{\^o}nica se manifestou em 
                         per{\'{\i}}odos geol{\'o}gicos recentes, inclusive no 
                         Quatern{\'a}rio, o que denota que a margem leste da placa 
                         sulamericana esteve sob efeito de deforma{\c{c}}{\~a}o 
                         tect{\^o}nica durante grande parte de sua evolu{\c{c}}{\~a}o. 
                         ABSTRACT: This work promotes the recognition of tectonically 
                         related morphostructures in the central portion of the 
                         Para{\'{\i}}ba Basin and in adjacent terrains with crystalline 
                         basement, expressed in the topology of drainage networks and 
                         morphostructural lineaments. In order to accomplish this goal, we 
                         used data derived from the drainage network from topographic maps 
                         (scale 1:100 000) and active remote sensing data based on digital 
                         elevation model - SRTM. The analysis was based on density and 
                         direction of morphostructural lineaments, as well as drainage 
                         patterns and anomalies. The results indicate great occurrence of 
                         drainage patterns suggestive of tectonic control, mostly including 
                         trellis pattern and its variations. Additionally, there is an 
                         abundance of anomalies suggestive of tectonically controlled 
                         drainage, including mostly straight river segments, straight angle 
                         junctions, and localized meandering, as well as rapid changes in 
                         drainage patterns. Therefore, it was concluded that the central 
                         portion of Para{\'{\i}}ba Basin contains evidence of tectonic 
                         deformation impressed upon its relief. The morphoestructural 
                         lineaments displayed distinct densities and distribution 
                         throughout the study area, revealing stronger tectonic control in 
                         the extreme western and eastern sectors. We conclude that the 
                         study area shows evidence of tectonic deformation. These 
                         deformations have brittle and ductile nature, being associated 
                         with reactivation of Precambrian structures, though one can not 
                         rule out the possibility of a new generation of structures related 
                         to the structural evolution of the basin. The tectonic activity 
                         took place during recent geologic periods, including the 
                         Quaternary, which denotes that the eastern Sulamerican plate 
                         margin was undergone to tectonic deformation during great part of 
                         its evolution.",
